River Hydro Systems

It is inevitable that as energy costs increase, the market for river hydro plants will become more viable. FreeFlow 69 see this as a huge potential in the U.K. and rest of the world. We are currently developing our Archimedes type screw turbines which will produce electricity in the most environmental manner, creating no danger to wildlife. The screw is encased within a rotating stainless steel cylinder, as water enters at the top of the unit it is trapped and is forced to drive the screw as it descends. It is envisaged that a bank of turbines will be used in unison as shown below.
